Sunday morning, a dozen brothers and sisters joined us for worship, led by Sagato and Gil, who issued the message. The latter, based on chapter 2 of Colossians, focused on the false teachers who seek to take control of the Church or destroy it for their personal glory. For this, they deceive the faithful turning the message of the Gospel. The only way to not be seduced is to fight with Christ our Savior, who gave us His Word. It is indeed the only weapon against heresy because it contains the truth is simple, powerful and bright. That is why daily reading the Bible is essential.

From October 15 to 20, the Rev. Gerard together with Sagato brothers, Isaia, Narcissus and Gil went on the island of Tanna, in Vanuatu, to visit the locations of a mission and meet people likely to participate in this project.
Rouard Silas, director of the hospital and the francophone college, was our guide during these five days. Thanks to its good reputation and knowledge of people, we were able to make useful contacts. We have encountered two chiefs for land: one was so favorable to our company that we proposed a location on the lands of his clan, the other, however, was opposed because he leads the cargo cult for the entire island of Tanna. We also met with six independent pastors who gave their lives to the Lord despite all the opposition they encounter, and one of them was even whipped because of his ministry.
We were touched by the poverty of the island: they live in isolated tribes poorly because of poor roads and mountainous terrain. However, we left full of hope because the tribes where we preached are far more open than we'd imagined, they are hungry for the Gospel and we have received a very favorable. It was the first time a delegation of a church not affiliated with large organizations visited them.
Most encouraging is the fact that the Lord is at work within the government in Vanuatu Through Pastor Isaac Wan (the son of the chief of a tribe that runs the cargo cult!). He will often preach on the radio in Port Vila where he met Prime Minister and his wife, for whom he prays. He even named the Minister of Labour and his wife.
In turn, we pray for the people of Tanna can be illuminated by the light of the gospel and be saved in the name of Christ. The Lord has worked in many hearts, he calls us now to support the pastors have to work and opens the door may be of religious education for francophone students.
